German pronunciation help?

I was readin the section on “double consonants” and came upon “qu” which is supposed to be pronounced “kv.”
How is the “kv” supposed to sound?

Just as it is spelt - a hard “k” sound followed by a “v” sound.
So “die Qual” is said “dee kval”.

There is an online dictionary that also gives you pronunciation. Just click on the little speaker sign behind the words.
