I'm at home this summer and I want to take German again. I'm not beginner, I took it for a year and I can communicate basic things. I know there is Berlitz, but they're really really expensive ($6000!). Do you know anywhere that's good yet affordable? And on the T? Thanks!

I need to Learn German's basics words and pronounceation by a week before a test by M.O.E.i would appreciae if i could find a place near my house.
Immersion is the best way to learn, If you don't want to move to Germany, and have no German friends you can room with, audio courses are the next best thing.

What books, and programs do you recommend I use to Learn German by myself? I already have Living Language Complete Course: The Basics, and Living Language Ultimate German Beginner-Intermediate. I like these programs, but I think I need other books and stuff too. I was thinking about getting Rosetta Stone, but it's so expensive, and I've heard it really isn't as good as they say it is. I also tried Berlitz German books and I like those, and think I'll buy them. Any other recommendations?
AVOID ROSETTA STONE.
The most overrated and overpriced program out there is RS. It goes into ZERO grammar. The best way I've found to learn languages using these other audio courses is to have a book of conjugations, such as "501 German Verbs" and a basic grammar book like "Essential German Grammar". have them next to me at the keyboard and go into German chat rooms and talk away. When people stop making fun of me I'll know I've learnt enough.
