How can I learn French at home through the computer/internet?

If you mean by CD courses, then yes. There are also some websites that give instruction.
Your best bet is to buy one of the CD based courses with the books and learn it that way.

CHECK WITH YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY. MINE OFFERS AN ONLINE COARSE WITH” ROSETTA STONE”, IT HAS 4 OR 5 DIFFERENT LANGUAGE COARSES.YOU ONLY HAVE TO HAVE A MEMBERSHIP IN THE LIBRARY.

There is a software..freeware for that matter.
Juz check for French tutorial in google..
I dwlded it but didnt have time to Learn French yet..So if u suceed juz lemme noe…

Libraries are quite good for that sort of thing, but I must say that learning from a computer program or book is a lot harder than getting proper tuition.
I speak french as I belong to a circus which spends a lot of time in France however I was taught by my tutor how to speak it fluently.
I tried with books and audio cassets and things like that but it is not the same as a tutor because you tend to mis-pronounce words and if you don’t understand something there’s no one to help you.
Just my oppinion…
